There are several different types of filling materials available for restoring teeth. Amalgam (silver) and composite (tooth colored) are the two most common used in dentistry today. We offer our patients a choice, as both types are equally durable. The ultimate decision about what is best to use is best determined by the patient in consultation with the dentist.
